Food Ministries

          Mt. Olive has many dinners throughout the year.  The Chilifest is held annually in January.  At the Chilifest people bring different kinds of chili for sampling.

          When a person new to the area or new to Mt. Olive visits a cookie call is made to the person's house.  A cookie call consists of freshly made cookies delivered to the house of the person who visited Mt. Olive by a member of Mt. Olive.

          Meals on Wheels operates out of Mt. Olive's kitchen five days a week.  The volunteers bring seniors who are homebound or unable to cook meals for themselves Monday through Friday.  This service is available to those in Chippewa and the surrounding communities.

          Oktoberfest is held annually in mid-October.  Oktoberfest celebrates the German heritage of many of the members and the community that Mt. Olive is located in.  Authentic German food is served while entertainment takes the people away to think they are in Deutschland (Germany).

          Victorian Tea has grown to be a beloved tradition for the ladies at Mt. Olive and their friends.

           Wine & Cheese Tasting is a festival where wine makers and connoisseurs come together to taste samples and celebrate the success of the fruit of their labors.  This festival is held in the Spring.
