We believe in the
basic Christian concept that "whoever believes in (in Christ)
and is baptized (in the name of the Triune God) will be
saved." (Mark 16:16). We welcome all to share with us
the teaching of our Lord and Savior, namely that: God loves
all people and want all to be saved. (Timothy 2:4) Man
has separated himself from God by sin. (Romans 3:23)
Jesus dies and rose again for the forgiveness of sins. He is
the only way to God and Eternal Life. (John 3:16, John 14:6) The Bible is God's inspired Word and the only source of our
teaching. (2 Timothy 3:16) Our congregation
is a member of the Eastern District of the Lutheran
Church-Missouri Synod, founded in 1847. Our Synod has
about 2.7 million members in 6,000 congregations. As a Synod,
we are involved in mission work in over 30
countries around the world. |
